The American Muscle Car!

1968 Chevy Chevelle

My first car was a 1968 Chevy Chevelle. I spent a lot of money and time trying to restore it, but as fate would have it, it caught fire and burned to the ground. In my early days I liked the classic American muscle cars, but eventually gave up on it as the car I wanted. And for the record, I didn't buy because I thought it was a chick magnet. Actually the later Miatas attracted the prettier ladies of choice, as some may get my drift.

The European!

My second car was a BMW 2002. Another used car, another load of problems. Eventually sold it. The model name of the car was 2002, not the year it was made. I believe the year the car was made was 1979.

The Import and Alien visitation!

I eventually gave in to buying a new car. I took the day off of work and bought a Geo Storm on sale for $8,888! At the time I thought it was a good price. The financing maybe not so good. As the story would go however, I traded it in for my car of destiny, and may have documented proof that aliens have visited. See the second marked up photo.

I had dismissed this earlier, but after watching UFO Files on the History Channel I have come to realize that this photo is as good documentation as any. It was taken off of Airport Blvd. during the day of an airshow in Watsonville, CA. Not sure about the year, but I believe it to be 1992.

The Miata!

The summer of the UFO I traded my Geo in for a Mazda Miata. More expensive at the time, $15k, I stomached it and the rest is history. Since my original base model 1992 white Miata, I have purchased two others. The red Miata came at the end of 1999, when I bought it for $6K off the sticker price because the 2000 model year Miatas were already on the lot. I had always wanted a yellow roadster (small 2-seat driving car) and my chance came late in 2002 when an internet special order vivid yellow was left on the lot at the Capitol Expressway Mazda. It was $5,000 off the msrp, and that was what I lost in my trade in with the red Miata. I like the red Miata, but it had 90k miles after only three years as I had been doing some major commuting between work, school and home. No aliens with this car, but at the right angle it does look like a extraterrestrial mode of transportation!

I apologize!

I apologize for any content that doesn't work when you visit, as I strive to have my site working every day. However, there are those times when I'll have started something and then become too busy to finish it. Or am working through a problem.
