September - 2010!

Sports Fan Bay Area site!

Ok, a rough skeleton of my new site it up and running. Hopefully I can continue to produce some great sports team designs and make some extra money!

Power Point!

Been taking a lot of work home lately, I think it's because I fell behind with the ankle injury (get it?), and I want to meet my goals. One item of interest is a Power Point slide presentation for a class. Here are a couple screens. The only thing I didn't draw in either Illustrator or Photoshop was the moon. I was too tire to recreate it.

August - 2010!

Short update.

Just a quickie this time around! I picked up the domain name sportsfanbayarea, and hope to have a store up and running this fall and winter that features items for the Giants, Athletics, Raiders, 49ers, Warriors and Sharks! Recently I have been selling a decent number of shirts and other items on my Apron 4 U site, and am not surprised that the majority of it is Giants stuff. This gave me the idea for this new site. The plan is to put my focus here and eventually let the Apron 4 U site die.

Too bad here. I was so proud of my apple tree, and now look at it. One day it was showing off a good number or apples and the next broken down. One of the main middle branches collapsed from the weight of too many apples. I placed one of my chairs under the collapsed branch to support it.

July - 2010!

Injury update.

This is an early July log, as I'm assuming July will be busy in and I'll be short on time.

Yesterday, June 12th, sis and I were attending the Giants games as they played their cross-town rival the Athletics. Seats were just behind the Giants dugout, it was a warn evening, and an early start of 6pm that made it even better! The Giants had Barry Zito starting on the mound, never having won against his former team. Everything seemed set for a good time. That was until feet away from our seats I stepped into a spot of cement that had yet to properly dry. It wasn't cordoned off, and my ankle twisted badly. The end result was the first three innings in first aid, where the doctor told me it's probably a fracture and only time and rest is the answer, followed by icing with ibuprophen, and an early 6th inning departure.

Why this journal entry? Besides the luxury of having time to write it since I'm stuck at home, I also have the time to reflect back on how I seem to be injury prone. The short of it is if I didn't have this bad ankle, as it's been messed up four times now, maybe I wouldn't be stubbing my left big toe all the time and breaking it, which maybe wouldn't lead to L4, L5 lower back episodes. I am sick and tired of always injuring myself in one way or another. Then there are those pesky allergies that never seem to end. The point I'm making is that I hope this injury motivates me enough to do something that leads to a life of less injury. I understand the randomness and chance involved, but I have grown tired of winning this lottery and want to move on.

BTW, Zito pitched a great game and the Giants held on to get him his first win against his former team. At least that's what the radio said when sis was driving me home.

After 10 days the swelling has gone down enough to see the discoloration of the toes on the left side of my foot. Maybe its difficult to see but the left side of my right foot is green with purple trim.

There's the lucky guy! The end result after x-rays was a fracture and separated/pulled ligament.

Godzilla collection pics added.

My June update is pretty simple. I placed some pictures in the photo section of the site of my Godzilla collection. Excited?

Baseball related distractions / happenings

I've been busy this past month compiling baseball designs to print on various product. Last Fall I began making my own sports/NFL football shirts. I wanted something that wasn't available anywhere, so I created the designs myself. One thing let to another, and next thing I knew I was posting designs online on a website that one of my sisters has going, and people actually bought some items.

The pictures below are some of the latest. If you click on the pictures a link will take you to an apron web store, where if inclined to do so, you could buy one and be cooler than those you hang around with. Especially, if you were to go to a Giants baseball game. Fans will love you! So click away, and check back every so often, as I'll most likely make a few more designs as the baseball season goes along.

Also, if you have a request for a design, drop me an email.

In other news!

No I'm not a fan, but he and his friend did come to the Boardwalk the other week during Spring Break, and they kept passing by in the hallway outside my office, and were taking pictures, and said I had nice hair. So I figured, what the heck, I'll take a picture with these nice people.

April - 2010!

Tax Return Spent!

I've spent my tax return! Paid off half of new kitchen cabinet doors and the remainder went to my car and bills.

What a pain it has been. So I order a new trunk lid and take it in for painting. The shop I went to not only had trouble color matching, but kept leaving small debris in the paint that kept me coming back to have it fixed. If you live in Watsonville, CA., do not go to Rolf's Auto Body. This place sent the car home with me twice without thoroughly looking it over. The word idiot comes to mind.

I also had high performance shocks and springs installed. The car sits an inch lower and the shocks are adjustable allowing me to control the stiffness of the ride.

March - 2010!

Bingo me!March arrives and I've kept my promise to put time into my website, by at least doing monthly news updates.

Tuesday night is family night out. What that means to me is time spent with the parents. Good son? Sure. But when your version of family time consists of gambling at the local bingo establishment, spending time with the family isn't so difficult. Not that it is anyways. Why the mention? Maybe the $200 I won last night has a little something to do with it.

That's me on the left pointing, showing where they can pay me! Sorry for the blurry picture, but my iphone doesn't have a flash.

In more bingo news.. As Bingo University, I donate an endorsed Bingo University item to the local Bingo establishment each month, Last night the lady who won the Bingo-U "Bingo Professional" ball cap, after immediately placing the door prize cap on her head, she went on to win two games, including the next game after winning the cap and the last game of the night! So is this merely a shameless plug to check out my hobby site at bingouniversity.com? Maybe.

February - 2010!

Happy birthday to me! I'm 42, February 8, 2010, the day of this entry. The picture below is of me in front of my Godzilla monsters display cabinet in my home office (computer room). The picture has a single animation, where after a few seconds it flips to a different picture, and then back to the initial picture. Just be patient and you'll see.

Another year gone by :-) I wore the 32 shirt today because people still tell me I look 10 years younger than what I should. I didn't shave the past two days, trying to show the gray in my facial hair, in an attempt to look older. For 42 I have a few gray hairs, but not many, as I said mostly on my face. Funny how I'm trying to look older at this age, when most others are doing the opposite!

Monya and Grams

January - 2010!

Christamas day with sister and grandma, or grams for short. I actually cooked the turkey, potatoes and carrots! Nat said she thinks she'll live to be a teenager again. Ok, at 97, I guess that puts her 16 years down the road at 113. Wow, to be 13 twice!

Monya and Grams

Time on my hands? I always keep busy, but 2010 should bring even new adventures as both my collecting and bingo web site distractions seem to have either moved along or are moving along.

The Star Wars Action Figure and Titanium Space ship collections has apparently reached an end. Last year the miniature Titanium Ships line came to an end. I have every one but one, that was made since 2004. Without counting, I estimate I have 140 ships! The only missing is a show exclusive that was released in 2005, that I'll need to pick up off eBay for a price.

The bingo web site, University of Bingo, or Bingo University if you prefer, which began as a hobby to keep me interested in the family night that I spend with the parents at bingo, seems to have settled nicely. Without any advertising and only word of mouth, the site is getting hits, items from the store sold this past holiday, and only small updates are required now. So, this been said, 2010 seems to have a void. Maybe I'll focus on my actual career instead of these distractions?
