The following are news entries made in the year 2006.
December - Been away, kinda.
It has been some time since my last site update. I had planned on working on uploading pictures, but things happen and you get busy. Around May I injured my right hand lifting a bookshelf, in a situation in which all I needed to do was to put it down and re-grip it before moving further. Instead I squeezed and f'd up my hand. After a few months of appointments at a variety of establishments, the only determination is that I have a case of carpal tunnel, brought about by stretching some parts of my hand when lifting something I should not have. To make a long story shorter, with no help from treatment, the tightness in the thumb and index and middle fingers has gotten better, and doc says that itšll probably just take time before it returns to its normal self. Funny thing is that the day I injured it I simply shook it off and went about the day like nothing had happened. The next morning the tip of my right thumb went numb, followed by my entire hand the next day, and then my arm all the way up to my shoulder on the third day. This was a humbling experience early on, as I had difficulty doing the simplest things, such as tying my shoestrings, and hooking a button.
In other news, I've begun transitioning from Star Wars collecting to something else. A room is opening up and one idea I have is to lay down tarp and begin painting. So the room will itself become a gallery of my artistic talents! I have also begun to collect arcade multi-video-system cartridges and cabinets.
STILL IN MORE NEWS! I plan to archive the site. For example, if you read the news page it is exactly that. One long page, dating back to whenever. The goal is to only run the current year and then provide hyperlinks to older pages at the bottom. Should be a fairly simple process. Additionally, the Star Wars style sheet is well, a little boring. I may overhaul the sheet by adding animations of flying ships or character images fading in and out. Not sure exactly what to do with it just yet. I think I started it and had some ideas, but never got around to finishing it.
July 2006 - Moderate site updates.
I finally began to put pictures on the photo related pages of the site. While there isnšt many, there are finally some photos, as opposed to a promise. In addition I added a link to a page whereI've simple animations that I did over the last couple years.
June 2006 - Mobile site view option.
The use of mobile devices to view the web are becoming more and more popular, and because of this I changed one of the style sheet options to allow those users a mobile-friendly experience when viewing my site. This view option should eliminate the need to scroll right and left to read and view.
May 2006 - Star Wars Collection Complete!
With the help of eBay and friends I completed my Star Wars collection. It was tough, but I made executive decisions and parted out items I didn't feel belonged. I want to thank my collecting friend Les for all of his help attaining items, and coaching on what to keep in the collection and why. Don't worry, if I change my mind in the future I won't hold you accountable. I will post pictures later.
April 2006 - More of the same.
With February and March having come and gone, April gave hope to me moving on to other things. Unfortunately this was not the case. April saw me still trying to complete my Star Wars Episode 3 collection, and had me running my car back and forth to the dealership to fix the poor install of my side sills/trim. However, I did edge closer to completing my short Star Wars collection, and I made decisions as to what I really needed in the collection. eBay became a constant alley in helping me meet my goals, as I sold off the unnecessary fat from the collection to provide the funds to buy what I needed. March 2006 - Almost there!
Most of March kept me busy trying to complete the Star Wars collection I began last year based on the final movie. As you can see by the recent pictures the closet is almost full. I just completed building the shelves and now only need a couple items to be finished..

February 2006 - Stylin' & Profilin'
For February I went out and bought a couple items for my car to celebrate my birthday. These modifications include side trim, a hardtop, and the wood dash kit! Click on the pic to enlarge it.
January 2006 - New Furniture!
I finally broke down and bought some new furniture. I had needed a dresser for my bedroom, so I purchased this huge 9-drawer monster. I still haven't found anything to store in the 3 top drawers! Next I purchased a chair and ottoman for my computer room. The chair is from Pier 1 Imports, and I considered it more of a novelty, something I'd see at Grandmašs house. I then turned my attention to the living room areas, downstairs, and purchased a leather sofa/chair combo, also from Pier 1 Imports. All links are below.

Accent wall painting!
While shopping for furniture I got the idea to paint a couple accent walls downstairs. I decided to paint the wall where the dining room set will go, as well as the wall that everyone refers to as the Harry Potter door/room (under the stairs). The links are pictures of before and after. I want to give a special thanks to two of my Star Wars collector buddies, who btw complained because I stupidly forgot to mention them (Kriss and Jose!), for inspiring me to reach deep within me and have the guts to paint my home. BTW, they did most of the work.
